Daisy is so much fun!  Her personality is exploding right now and so is her appetite.  The kids love playing with her and it usually involves her getting pushed or dragged around the house.  And of course she loves it.  And when she's not playing, she's eating.  A lot.  And most of that is cereal, her favorite food in the world.  She usually starts her day with a bowl of Cheerios (sometimes at 3 AM) and then she'll eat two breakfasts after that.  Then a lunch or two, a snack after nap, and then a dinner followed with a bedtime bowl of Cheerios.

She loves stuffed animals, especially dogs.  She likes taking Ellie's stuffed dog, named "Pet-Pet," and carry him around, giving him hugs and kisses and panting and saying his name ("Puh-Puh).  She loves books to death - all her favorites are barely held together by copious amounts of tape and some we were unable to resuscitate - but she especially loves her "Wheels on the Bus" board book (she does all the motions!).  She loves singing songs and doing any applicable motions (favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider and Pat-a-Cake).  She loves being tossed in the air and playing Trot Little Pony on our laps. It's impossible to get a picture or video of her these days because she can sense when a camera is near and immediately starts crying "Sheeez!" and pitching a fit until we let her see the camera.

She talks a lot now - she can say banana, cereal, "more!", "DONE!", "Daisy!!", mama, uh-oh, daddy, ball, "oh boy" and she can sort of say her siblings' names.  She loves looking at the pictures on our wall and pointing out who we are.  She loves bringing us books, sitting on our lap, and after about 15 seconds of listening to the story jumping off our lap and walking away.  She also loves raiding the pantry and pointing at all the different snacks she wants us to feed her while saying "more" and signing by touching her chin.   And finally, she loves dancing.  So.  Much.  She has a special squat-shuffle-swing dance she does that's just so HER.  You can be chatting with her and then start singing a song or making a beat and she'll just go into dance mode.  :)

They recently opened up a new Harmon's over by Sheena's house and about 10 or so minutes from us.  It's a magical store and on the second level they have a bunch of tables so I came up with the idea of taking the kids there for a cheap and easy outing.  I let each kid pick out any treat from the store they want and we bring a board game or two and just sit and play and chat.  It's been really fun and I highly recommend it as a cheap and relaxing way to spend some quality time with your kid.

The first time we did it I took Isaac and he brought a board game he had invented based on a video game called "Plants vs Zombies."  It was surprisingly a really well-thought out and fun game.  Isaac has been getting into board games lately and we play a lot.
 Sammy and "Engineering Ants"
 Ellie and "Hi-Ho Cherry-O"
My outing with Sammy today - Chess.
My outing with Ellie today - again with the Hi-Ho Cherry-O.  We also played Candy Land.  :)

Halloween 2016!

Earlier this year Elinor had a fascination with Tinker Bell.  Every story we told her had to involve Tinker Bell in some way, and she even had a Halloween Tinker Bell shirt that lit up and she wore it a lot.  So of course when she saw the Tinker Bell costume a couple months ago she just had to get it.  And then right before Halloween the Tinker Bell craze wore off.  But we made her dress as Tinker Bell anyway.  And Isaac and Sammy wore their same costumes they've been wearing since 2014:

Yeah, they're kind of outgrowing the costumes now.  Anyhoo, we kept with our tradition and went to Sheena's neighborhood for trick-or-treating.

New Family Pics!

On October 5th we drove up Little Cottonwood Canyon with our camera and tripod and took some family pictures.

September was a very crazy month.  So much happened!  I'll share some of the highlights here.

We randomly decided to drive up to Boise for the weekend.  At around 11:00 AM on a Saturday morning.  I think we were out on the road by about noonish and on the way up we called our aunt Carol to see if she'd let us crash at her place for the night.  It was a totally last-minute decision but it was a blast.  Boise was beautiful and the kids loved it.  We also baptized Isaac in the Boise River the following day and then made the five-hour drive back home in time for bed Sunday night.  It was a whirlwind tour but it was also a relaxing get-away.  And Carol has a big slide from her 2nd floor deck down to the trampoline in her backyard and the kids were in heaven.  :)

Maxine and I did one of those "Paint Nite" things and it turned out to be such an ideal date.  We got to sit and chat and be silly and relax for a few hours while we attempted to not make the paintings too awful with our "happy little mistakes."  Maxine had already gone to a paint night a couple weeks before with some friends so she was able to show me the ropes.

On September 23rd we celebrated our TENTH wedding anniversary!  We went to our favorite restaurant "Takashi" in downtown Salt Lake for some sushi.  It was the perfect date.  Since Takashi doesn't take reservations we also got to wander around and enjoy the Salt Lake night life while we waited for them to text us with a table.  :)

Ellie's birthday was on September 21st but I blogged about it here:

Elinor Turns Four!

Ellie is amazing.  So full of spunk and cheer.  She has the delicate body of a ballerina but the clumsy stomping around of Frankenstein.  We love her.  She just had her first day of pre-school (she was so nervous and shy!) and now she loves it.  She goes every Tuesday and Thursday and every day of the week she'll ask us what the next day is going to be and if we say Tuesday or Thursday she'll tell us how excited she is for school.  And if we don't she'll tell us how disappointed she is that she has to wait longer for school.  :)

Elinor rarely lets us put her hair up and even when we do it only lasts a few minutes.  So in this case we quickly snapped some pictures before she shook it all out.  So worth it.  :)

For her birthday we took her to build-a-bear and she built herself a puppy named "Pet-Pet."  She already had a stuffed puppy named "Ruff-Ruff" and a stuffed cat named "Meow-Meow" so I guess the name was a no-brainer.

We have a tradition of letting the kids decorate their birthday cake.  And following tradition, there were quite a few sprinkles used.

Lately she's been playing with the boys a lot more and they've all been figuring out how to get along together.  It's been miraculous.

She's really gotten into Pokemon lately.  Grandma Coco got her a Pokemon shirt and it's by far her favorite article of clothing.  She's also mastered the "Team Rocket Motto."

Some random pics of Ellie  :)
