Sammy turns FOUR!

Samuel Toa Parrish, rapscallion extraordinaire, turned four years old yesterday.  We sure do love this kid!  So full of life, such a hearty laugh (more like guffaw when you really get him going), such a sweet little cuddler, so much exuberance. He is ALL boy!  He still loves anything on wheels and that's pretty much it, though he's starting to expand to puzzles and board games too.

We had the customary doughnuts from Lehi Bakery for breakfast.  Elinor was quite pleased.
Sammy requested a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting this year.  Done!  He had a blast decorating it himself.
Happy birthday, my sweet, silly, spunky Sammy!!

New 'do selfie

We grown-ups don't post nearly enough pictures of ourselves, so here's one with my new haircut.  I like it.  The cut, that is.  But I guess the picture is okay too.  ;)

The fruits (vegetables?) of our labor

After hours of toiling to build/prepare the garden (mostly on Collin's end), planting the seeds (that was me), and diligently watering and watching (me again), our first crops are ready to pick - French breakfast radishes!! (Side note: It is best to wear proper safety attire when picking radishes; one never know what might fall on one's head in the process.)

They're delicious!  Turns out I LOVE radishes, but only the breakfast variety, which are less pungent.  They are so so good served with a bit of nice butter, a mint leaf, and a sprinkle of sea salt.  And salads, too.  I'm hooked!  I need more!  Plant ALL the radishes! Isaac likes them too.  Sammy, not so much.
