It's all in the details

Yeah, I'm one of those mommy bloggers who likes to post five nearly identical pictures of my kids because they're all just too precious to choose just one.  I'm sure you'll appreciate the nuances in their facial expressions as much as I.  If not, I'll go ahead and explain why each photo is so very unique and indispensable.

This here is the only one with all three smiling.  As an added bonus, Sammy managed to partially unzip his pajamas to achieve that special bared chest look.

This one features a tighter shot of the kids, sans Sammy's bared chest.

This one is the sharpest photo, which is an accomplishment because I was shooting in low lighting with a very wide open aperture (which is why in the other photos one kid is sharp and the others are blurry).

This is where things started falling apart, so of course we have to include one of these!

And there you have it - the inner workings of a proud-as-peaches mother with a trigger-happy camera finger.

Oh, and in case you were wondering how the actual kids are doing, they're great.  But that's another post for another day.

  1. I haven't been on your blog in so long and just caught up! Wow!!! Elinor is absolutely gorgeous and your boys are adorable. I loved catching up on your blog... you are such a great writer! And hearing about your culinary adventures. I feel ever so blessed to have eaten a four course Maxine meal. Delish! Miss you. Please let me know next time you're in SD. We'll be in Utah the next time probably in early August. XOXO :) PS - Glad to see I'm not the only one having a somewhat bumpy ride on the "three kids" train! ;-) Curren also has reflux (which my other two didn't have) so is up a TON at night. He's about 5.5 months now and I haven't gotten more than 2 hrs (usually one) in a row since he was born. But it's all worth it, right? Right!? Ha ha. So happy for you. You're family is gorgeous and Elinor is the most perfect addition.
